1st Cooking Video

We just did my first recipe video, it was a blast to shoot! In order for there to be enough light though, we had to get out every lamp in the house, plus buy one at Wal-Mart. There were so many lights, I felt like I was being blinded!

The excitement of it all was just so, well, exciting! I couldn’t help but beam from ear to ear. Although the closer I got to actually being videoed, I was getting a bit nervous and wondering if I could do it. Here I am, waiting for my Dad to start videoing and not so sure about myself anymore. My Mon was a great coach, keeping me calm, calming my nerves, and helping me all the way.

Slowly it all came into play. What seemed to me an eternity, but was actually only a few minutes, I was getting closer to the fun part, adding the ingredients and mixing it all together. To me, mixing up the food is so much more fun than just looking at the food.

Trying to get my words all organized in my mind was like trying to complete a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle in two minutes. It was cause for a lot of laughter and a bit of playing with what I was supposed to say and what was coming to my mind. Finally, it was all done and we could move to the next step, chopping the bell peppers.

Y’all will have to watch the video to see what I made. One thing I can say is that it was absolutely delicious, and the whole family enjoyed it.  Don’t forget to follow and like my Facebook page, Tasty Vegan.   The charity I would like to highlight in this video the Gentle Barn.  They do a wonderful work saving animals, and helping kids.  When you’re a vegan it’s all about the animals and what you can do to make their lives better.  Don’t forget to like the Gentle Barn Facebook page!

See y’all next time!  ~ Allyssa ~
